Donald Kendall, former chairman of the board of PepsiCo, was asked the question: "How do you get to the top of the corporate ladder?"
His answer? "The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary. You can't get to the top of any profession without a lot of hard work -- I don't care if you're in art, music, business or the academic world. Success at all levels requires tremendous effort."
What's the balance between hard work and taking care of your precious personal relationships? Do you have to sacrifice one for the other?
